The UK Cyber Security Council, in partnership with the UK Cyber Cluster Collaboration (UKC3), has launched the Cyber Access Network (CAN)—a free initiative designed to help students (16+) and career changers break into the cyber security industry.
Supporting the Next Generation of Cyber Professionals
With funding from the Department for Science, Innovation & Technology, Cyber Access Network (CAN) aims to bridge the cyber skills gap by providing aspiring professionals with the tools and resources they need to succeed. Through a combination of webinars, networking events, and career guidance, the programme connects individuals with industry leaders and helps them navigate the path to professional registration. Whether you’re a student exploring cyber security as a career option or a professional looking to transition into the industry,
CAN offers:
- Exclusive networking opportunities with experienced cyber professionals
- Informative and interactive webinars covering key industry topics
- Career resources and insights to enhance your job readiness
Have Your Say: Understanding Barriers to Cyber Security Careers
As part of its mission, CAN is also conducting research to better understand the regional barriers faced by those entering the cyber security sector. By gathering insights from aspiring professionals, the initiative aims to develop targeted solutions to address challenges and create more accessible pathways into the industry.
