Fintech Innovation for the UK’s Second City!

03 May 2022

Midlands Cyber's 'FinTech Secured' event aims to showcase the work of leading stakeholders in the research and development of Fintech and Financial Security. FinTech’s academic innovators, CEOS’s and company founders, entrepreneurs, contractors, investors and policymakers are encouraged to register now to discuss, participate, network and put their questions to our panel of industry experts.

The Cluster will be joined by a host of industry and academic specialists. Panel speakers include; Professor Vladlena Benson, Director of Aston University’s Cyber Security Innovation Centre and serving on the EU’s Agency for Cybersecurity task force defining the Cybersecurity Skills Framework at the EU level. Vladlena will be joined by contacts from within the Crypto industry and offer insight on illicit money trends and flows in Financial Security.

User of contactless EMV may be interested in the insights of Tom Chothia, reader in cyber security at the University of Birmingham, on how the vulnerabilities of Apple Pay and Visa could enable hackers to ’Take £1000 from a locked iPhone’.

Midlands Cyber Cluster are pleased to bring this opportunity to the heart of the UK's second city and to the concentrated fintech R&D base in Birmingham City Centre - take a look at the fantastic city center venue below.

Registrations are now open to Join the Cluster on the 7th June 2022 at The Compound, Birmingham. Don’t miss your opportunity to be a part of the conversation and take part in Birmingham’s most exclusive financial tech and security event!
